Angelika Yoder

Angelika is a former teacher turned developer based in NE Ohio. Experiences gained through being an Intervention Specialist for students with disabilities in her former career compel her to code with a focus on accessibility as a developer. Although Ruby/ROR development was her gateway into coding, she’s since transitioned to working with several PHP based CMS platforms with React being her frontend framework of choice.

Angelika frequently volunteers at her local animal shelter through which she and her family foster many shelter puppies, mostly pit bulls, training and readying them for their furever homes. She also volunteers her time at schools, colleges and nursing homes as a therapy dog handler with her highly-trained German Shorthaired Pointer mix, Basia. During warm weather months, Angelika enjoys unwinding with solitary rides on her motorcycle, going to baseball games with her spouse or enjoying the stunning national park system in her area.
